🌿 The Track Experience
The walk begins with a gentle downhill path through lush native bush before reaching the first lookout (Wairere Tapu) — just five minutes in. This viewpoint offers your first glimpse of the impressive Omanawa Falls and is ideal if you’re short on time.
Feeling energetic? Continue on to Te Harikoa Lookout. This section includes around 750 stairs, spread across ups and downs, leading to a breathtaking view across the valley and behind the waterfall. It’s the best viewpoint on the track and well worth the effort.
